Objections to booking parties and solutions

I had no idea when I started my Direct Sales business how to even find the bookings, let alone how to handle the objects people would give when I tried to get them to book a Jewelry Bar® with me. I am thrilled to share with you solutions I have used when presented with objections from potential hostesses. I love being able to take a negative and turn it into a positive.

Objections & Solutions:

Objection – "My house is just too small to hold a party." or "I don't like hosting parties in my home."

Solution – I always suggest alternative ways for them to host a party/ Jewelry Bar®. I suggest holding it in a local restaurant, their office, local meeting room, online, catalog/book party or even a coffee shop.

Objection – "I am just too busy to book a party."

Solution – I always offer a lunch or catalog/ book party/ Jewelry Bar®. A lunch party is just that. You arrive during their lunch, show them your products, you can collect order then, and throughout the day. Catalog/Book party allows them to collect orders, get them to you and still get amazing hostess benefits. Some verbiage you can use when talking to a hostess: “This is why you would make an incredible Hostess! You know so many people. You see so many different people every day. You have the ability to get orders throughout the day."

Objection  – "I just moved here. I know no one." or "I don't know that many people"

Solution – This is when I suggest: "How about holding a Jewelry Bar® in a local restaurant, inviting everyone you have met so far. Plus you can use our local information website for our area to advertise your Jewelry Bar®." You would be surprised how many people show up for a Jewelry bar® that is in a public location. They usually want to see your product, but never know someone who is hosting a party.

Objection – "I don't have a baby sitter."

Solution – I always tell them "Just have your kids there. Set up a movie or a play area for the kids."

Objection: "Everyone I know has already attended a party."

Solution:
I say to that: “That is perfect! Since your friends have already seen our jewelry they probably already know what they want and have their wish list written down. They might even want to add on to prior purchases. Or maybe when they went to the last party they were not ready to buy. I bet they are now!"

These are only some of the objections you will find during your business. If you have another objection/solution you have use
d in the past please post it here in the comments. I love knowing how others handle their objections. Effective leaders are always learning from others. There is always a positive spin you can put on any objection.

I hope this blog post will help you feel confident in handing objections throughout your business.
