What is an Origami Owl
® Birthday Party (Birthday Jewelry Bar®)?
It is a Birthday Bash like no other! Featuring the fun customizable Origami Owl® Living Lockets®. It allows the children to giggle, create personalized necklaces just for them. The Birthday girl or boy gets a special gift just for them!

If a Designer accumulates over 500 PV in a single Jewelry Bar, will the remaining PV carry over to the next Level’s reward?
Yes. The remaining PV you accumulate will carry over to the next Level’s reward.
Example: A Designer reaches 700 PV at their first Jewelry Bar following the launch of the new Soar to Success program. She will qualify for the Level 1 Reward and the remaining 200 PV will begin accumulating for the Level 2 Reward.

What time on the 90th (calendar) Day does a Designer need to have their order submitted and closed in order for the PV to count?
The program runs on Eastern Standard Time (EST), so all ORDERS MUST BE SUBMITTED AND CLOSED BY 11:59 P.M. (EST) for them to count toward the PV goals on the 90th (calendar) day. We strongly encourage you to not wait until that 90th day to place those orders! We are unable to make exceptions.

*What is PV? that is the wholesale amount that you pay Origami Owl®. Designers receive a 50% discount on lockets, dangles & stamped plates and a 30% discount on everything else.

Hostess Coaching- Key to a Successful Jewelry Bar®

One of the key components to a successful Origami Owl® Jewelry Bar® is Hostess Coaching. Your hostess does not know what to do to get people to attend her Jewelry bar® unless you coach her! Here I will share how to properly coach your hostess into a successful Jewelry Bar®.
Are you curious what is a successful Jewelry Bar®? I know I was when I first started with Origami Owl®. It is a jewelry bar® that is fun, rewarding for your hostess (she gets her wish list for as cheap as possible), you earn a good commission, and you get bookings.. A fun jewelry bar® gets others wanting to book a jewelry bar® with you also.

Here are some key things that should be discussed with all hostesses! I suggest getting coffee or lunch with your hostess while setting up her Jewelry Bar®!

  •  Date, Time and Location for the Jewelry Bar® -A Lot of my hostesses like to host their parties in a local pizza place. It saves them time from cooking and cleaning. Plus it is centrally located for all guests
  •  Length of the Jewelry- I suggest setting a firm start and stop time. Your time is valuable.
  • Set your a Follow-up appointment with your hostess if you are scheduling her jewelry bar® over the phone. It gives you a chance to sit down with her and discuss the things below!
  •  Share with her the hostess folder, what you put inside of it. I always include a Hostess Tic Tac Toe game! It is a fun game that the hostess and I can play. It rewards her with prizes for completing the squares! 
  • Sharing the Hostess Rewards program and Hostess Exclusive is IMPORTANT! You want her to know what she is earning by hosting a Jewelry Bar®. {A qualified Jewelry Bar® is $125 in Retail sales before tax and shipping AND 4 Separate guest orders)
  • Explain if there are any out of stock items, limited edition items or items that are low in stock. You want her to be able to collect outside orders without running into problems that will slow down the order or jewelry bar®.
  • Food and Beverages- I recommend keeping it simple. You want the guests to focus on the jewelry.
  • Ask her if she is allowing children to attend the Jewelry Bar®
  • Ask her if she would like paper invitations or if she prefers to text/call her guests or maybe even just a Facebook Event.
  • Ask her if she wants help getting the invitations out. If so get her guest list. Ask for e-mail addresses also. That way you can utilize our new system and send e-vites.
  • Does she want to play a game?
  • Does she want a jewelry bar theme? (themes are posted below)
  • When you want to close the Jewelry Bar® by. I suggest withing 24-48 hours after the Jewelry Bar®.
  • Encourage her to get outside orders. Share with her how to get them. Suggest asking friends at work, anyone who is busy the day of her actual Jewelry Bar®, out of state friends and family. Tell her about the custom shopping link she will be able to share with her friends and family.
  • Encourage her to get outside bookings. Explain how they reward her for those bookings.
  • Ask how many guests she is planning on inviting encourage her to tell her friends to bring a friend. I always explain that inviting 40 people is the number to aim for. Since about 15-20 of those 40 will actually show up. (these are just estimates and are not an indicator as to how your jewelry bar® will be)

Tips to use after your first meeting with her

  • Staying in contact with her from the moment you book her Jewelry Bar® is important
  • A week before her jewelry bar® share your excitement that her party is just around the corner!
  • Asking her if she needs help reminding her guests about her Jewelry Bar®.
  • Text or e-mail her a graphic with the details of her Jewelry bar® on it so she can send it to her friends as a reminder and post it on her facebook page.
  • Ask her how many confirmed guests she has
  • Ask her if she has gotten any outside orders

Are you planning a booking blitz for your Direct Sales Business?

What is a booking blitz?
It's basically an even when you will decide to book as many parties as you can. Usually you share it with your direct sales team! It creates healthy competition.

How does a blitz work?
You tell your team to take an hour of their time, divide it however works best for them, Call their customers, past hostesses, family, friends, etc to get them to book parties.


How long does a booking blitz last?

You can do it over a series of hours, days or a week. I don't suggest going past a week when doing a blitz.. You want to keep it fresh in your teams mind!

Why do a booking Blitz?
It truly is a great way to fill up your calendar with parties.

Here are some steps you will want to take for yourself and your team. These will help you have a successful blitz

Step #1: Set a Goal
You have to set a goal. Challenge you and your team to set a BIG goal! The bigger the goal the harder they will work towards it. Ask them "How many parties are you planning on booking during our blitz?"  Make sure it's a goal that everyone has to really work for. If it's too easy, it won't inspire or motivate anyone to go for it.

Step #2: Set a Time Frame
This is very important step. Probably the most important honestly. Deadlines tend to get people moving with a little more urgency. If the clock is ticking, they've got to take action now in order to make it. I have found running blitz for a weekend to a week work best for myself and my team! It allows us to break up the hour we will spend over the time to make it fit into our already busy schedules.

Step #3: Prepare them With Some Specific Training

  • Scripts on what to say on the phone
  • How to handle "no's", on the fence people
  • How to make their list of 100 people they would love to have parties with

Step #4: Set Up Social Media Proof and Discussion

Every time someone on your team books a party post it in the event you created for your blitz! Also, have them post on their facebook, twitter, pinterest, etc with a hash tag that you created for your team to use during your blitz. Create excitement so your customers want to ask what you are doing and book with you also! It also holds your team accountable for their actions! You want them to be honest and successful.

Step #5 Create an Event

I suggest creating an event on Facebook or other social media outlets. This allows your team to post their excitement to the team, share what is working for them, ask quick questions and allows them to check in with their progress.

Step #6
E-mail results and incentives

Have all results e-mailed to you!
Decide what you want to your incentives to be! People love to get a prize for a job well done!
Here is an example of incentives I use:

Blitzing all the way.... When you take part in the BOOKING BLITZ this week, you have chances to be entered many times to win GREAT prizes!

1. Participate in a Blitz the person with the most parties gets a prize! Person with the Most No's gets a prize.

2. For each NEW party you book and hold in May you get entered in to WIN!!

3. Top Three that BOOK parties and Hold them WIN!

4. The person with the MOST new team members from having all of these new parites WINS

5. The first three ladies to promote to a NEW rank as a result of these bookings WINS!

What do you have to lose???? NOTHING! You are only WINNING with this blitz!

Plenty of chances to win great prizes!!!!!

 You will devote 60 minutes to this… You can break up that hour over the {Time you specify}
1. Prepare a list of who you'd like to call and book with.
• all your current party guests
• a past season's hostess
• your top customers
• friends you know that would love some free credit for gifts
• people that love a deal
• family, especially if traveling
• people with wishlists
• those "who do I WANT to know" people

2. Warm them up now!
a SHORT, SWEET message- not about booking, about EXCITEMENT!
• Send them some new pictures of your news items or create a slideshow video I made in an email with a short, sweet message- Check out the awesome {Create Urgency when you share with them the items you want them to look at}!  I bet your friends are dying to get their hands on the new {{}}
• Ask how they are loving their items? "Hey Jessica, Just wanted to see how you're loving the Earrings you got from Aimee's Party. Have you worn themt yet? I love wearing mine with everything! Can't wait to hear about it! I'll call you soon to make sure you're loving your stuff!"
• Thank your customers if you haven't already. Send a quick short followup.
• Text some cute images out of your product. Ask what they think.
• ANYTHING!

Did they just order from you? GREAT, that means they are still warm about your products! Give those customers a call during the blitz to see how they are liking their product  ...and "oh, by, the way, did you know I could come do a party for YOU and YOUR friends and you could get free jewelry as they shop for holiday gifts? What do you think?"
